Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ENS
International Selection, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Age:
Candidates must not have reached their 26th birthday by December 1st of the
application year.
Application History:
Candidates must not have previously applied to the International Selection.
Residency:
Candidates must not have lived in France for more than 10 months during the
academic year of the selection (September 1st – August 31st) or the previous
year.
Academic Background:
Candidates must justify at
least one year of undergraduate studies awarded by a foreign university
(outside France) during the calendar year preceding the start of applications.
Candidates must justify at
least two years of undergraduate studies in a foreign university (outside France)
by September 1st following admission.
Exceptional Circumstances:
On rare occasions, the Director of ENS may authorize applications from
candidates with non-standard academic backgrounds.
Application Procedure
The application process
for the ENS International Selection involves several steps:
Initial Application:
Fill and validate the initial application form available at ENS Recruitment.
Account Activation:
Within two days of submitting the initial application, candidates will receive
an email to activate an account on Dematec, the application platform.
Document Submission:
Upload the required documents in PDF format to Dematec.
Jury Review:
If the application dossier is complete, it is submitted to the jury for review.
Selection:
Shortlisted candidates are invited to take written and oral tests in Paris. The
final admission list is based on the marks obtained in these tests.
